This Privacy Policy explains how the POS Billing mobile application ("the App", package name com.billing.pos) handles your information. The App is developed and provided by [Your Name / Business Name] ("we", "us").

Summary

POS Billing is an offline application. All of your business data — items, customers, suppliers, invoices, purchases, payments, reports, notes and attachments — is stored only on your own device. We do not operate any server, we do not have accounts, and we do not collect, transmit, sell or share your data with us or any third party.

Information the App stores on your device

The data you enter (such as item names and prices, customer and supplier details, invoices, purchases, receipts, expenses, stock, and any photos, documents, voice notes or handwritten notes you attach) is saved locally in the App's private storage on your device. It is under your control and is removed when you delete the App or clear its data. Backup files you choose to create are written to the location you select and remain in your possession.

Device permissions and why they are used

• Camera — to scan barcodes, read text from images (OCR), photograph the barcode/item name, and attach photos to items or bills. Images are processed on the device.
• Microphone — for optional voice input of item names and for optional voice/video notes you choose to record.
• Photos / Storage / Files — to let you attach or import images and documents, import spreadsheets, and save invoices, reports and backups that you generate.
• Bluetooth — to connect to a thermal receipt printer you pair, so invoices and receipts can be printed. No data is sent anywhere else.

Permissions are requested only when you use the related feature, and the App works without granting the optional ones.

On-device processing

Text recognition (OCR) and handwriting recognition are performed on your device using Google ML Kit's on-device libraries. The images and handwriting you scan are processed locally and are not uploaded to us or to Google by the App. ML Kit may perform a one-time, on-device download of its recognition model from Google; no personal or business data is sent in that process.

Sharing you initiate

When you choose to share an invoice, report or note (for example via WhatsApp, email, or another app), the App passes that file to the app you select. What happens to it after that is governed by the privacy policy of the app or service you chose. We are not involved in and do not receive that data.

Data we collect

We collect no personal data. The App contains no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking software. Because there is no server and no account, we have no access to anything you store in the App.

Children

The App is a business tool intended for general/business use and is not directed to children.

Security

Your data stays within the App's private storage on your device and is protected by your device's own security (screen lock, encryption, etc.). Please keep your device secured and create backups you control.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
